Roy is an urbanist with more than twenty-five years of experience in design, development, preservation, and community engagement. Roy brings a broad, humanistic approach to redevelopment and revitalization efforts.
Roy recently served as Design Director of the Chattanooga Design Studio. He has design and development experience in China, the Caribbean, and with tribal governments in the Western US. Much of his career was spent in his home state of New Mexico, where he started or managed several community development organizations, in addition to running his own urban design practice. Roy has led or participated in numerous downtown revitalization plans, campus plans, preservation plans, and community economic development efforts.
Roy holds a Masters degree in Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.Arch. from the University of Virginia.
